Our impact in the community
Generations in Bloom CIC is dedicated to creating heartwarming connections and fostering meaningful experiences between young children and older adults. While every session is unique, we consistently aim to facilitate moments where connections naturally grow. We envision children proudly sharing their artwork with older adults, older people recounting cherished childhood memories during storytelling sessions, and groups laughing together during songs or games.
We also hope staff and families witness the profound positive impact of our programmes. This includes happier, more engaged residents in care settings, and children developing essential qualities such as kindness, confidence, and a deeper understanding across generations. Our activities are designed to enrich lives, reduce loneliness, and build a stronger, more connected community for everyone involved.

One of our proudest achievements at Generations in Bloom CIC has been successfully transforming our vision into a registered Community Interest Company. This crucial step has provided us with a clear framework for bringing generations together and making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
Building our comprehensive policies, developing key partnerships, and securing support from local organisations have been exciting and significant steps forward. We are particularly proud to be creating a programme that holds immense potential to bring joy, foster genuine connections, and provide meaningful experiences for children, older adults, and the wider community in Portsmouth.
